1. Who can use StyleSnap
You must be 18 or older to use StyleSnap. StyleSnap is currently in free beta.
2. Upload only your own photo
Upload a photo of yourself, or one you have the subject's explicit permission to use. Do not upload photos of other people without their consent, do not upload photos of children, and do not upload anything unlawful, sexual or hateful. Accounts that do will be blocked.
3. What happens to your photo
By ticking the box you consent (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) to your photo being processed for the sole purpose of generating a hair preview. Your photo is sent over an encrypted connection to our AI provider, Google, which generates the preview and returns it.
StyleSnap does not keep your photo. It is held in memory only while your preview is generated and is never written to our database or storage.
Our AI provider does keep a copy for up to 55 days, solely to detect misuse of its service, and then deletes it. It is not used to train AI models. We are telling you this plainly because it is true, and because you deserve to know before you upload anything.
4. AI results are a visualisation, not a promise
Previews are generated by artificial intelligence and are simulations only. Your hair's real texture, porosity and colour history decide what a stylist can actually achieve. Never treat a preview as a guarantee of a salon result, and always speak to a qualified stylist before committing to a change.
5. Ownership
Using StyleSnap grants you no rights, ownership, authorship or claim over StyleSnap, its technology, branding or outputs — including if the product becomes commercially successful. AI-generated previews remain the property of StyleSnap. You may share your own preview for personal use, but you may not claim authorship of it or assert intellectual property rights over it.
6. Your rights over your data
You can withdraw consent at any time by not using the app. To ask a question about your data, or to request deletion of anything held, contact us at the address in our
Privacy Policy.
StyleSnap is operated from the United Kingdom. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
